Privacy Policy

ClipFlare ("ClipFlare", "we", "us") provides an AI video-clipping and social-publishing service at clipflare.ai. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: the name and email address you provide when you create an account, and a securely hashed password.
• Content you upload: the videos, images and text you submit so the service can transcribe them, generate clips, captions and subtitles, and (if you ask) publish them.
• Connected social accounts: when you choose to connect a TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube account, we receive an access token (and a display name / account id) from that platform so we can publish the clips you ask us to publish. We never receive your social password.
• Usage & billing: credit balance, purchases and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the core features: transcription, clip generation, captions, dubbing and scheduling.
• To publish content to a connected social account, only when you explicitly initiate it.
• To manage your account, credits and subscription, and to provide support.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

3. TikTok, Instagram and Facebook data

Where ClipFlare uses the TikTok Content Posting API and the Meta (Instagram/Facebook) Graph API, our use of information received from those APIs follows each platform's Developer Terms and Policies, including any limited-use requirements. We use the access token you grant solely to upload or publish the specific content you choose, and to show you the connected account's name. You can disconnect an account at any time from the "My account" screen, which deletes the stored token.

4. YouTube API Services

ClipFlare uses YouTube API Services to upload, on your instruction, the clips you have generated to the YouTube channel you connected. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and information handled through those APIs is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

We request only the access we need to do this: permission to upload a video to your channel, and read access to your channel name so we can show you where a clip will be published. We never read your viewers' data, and we never publish anything you have not asked us to publish.

You can revoke ClipFlare's access to your YouTube data at any time, either by disconnecting the account from the "My account" screen in ClipFlare - which deletes the stored token - or through Google's own security settings page.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share content only with the destination you choose (for example, the social platform you publish to) and with infrastructure providers strictly needed to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app, which removes your account, uploaded sources, generated clips and stored social tokens. You can also email us to request deletion.

7. Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, connections use HTTPS, and social tokens are stored server-side and used only to fulfil your publish requests.

8. Children

ClipFlare is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
